Sunday Worship Services begin at 11 am
We will be holding worship services
in the dining room until Palm Sunday
We welcome you to First United Methodist Church, whether you’re a resident, visitor, or new to this Community. We are part of The United Methodist Church, which is a Protestant denomination created in 1968, when the Evangelical United Brethren Church and The Methodist Church joined hands uniting as one body. The United Methodist Church roots originate from 1736 and shares a common history and heritage with other Methodist and Wesleyan traditions.
First United Methodist Church of Northville was established in the late 1700’s with Circuit Riding Preachers and shared a meeting house with the Baptists. A “red brick building” was built in 1872 and continues to share the Word of God to this day. The United Methodist Church is an inclusive society without regard to ethnic origin, economic condition, gender, age, or the disabilities of its constituents. It asserts that all who are baptized and confirmed are ministers of Jesus Christ. You will find many of our church members and friends come from different backgrounds and are at different levels in their journey of faith.
We hope that First United Methodist Church of Northville will be a place for you to call home and a people you call family.
Our worship has HEARING DEVICES for those with hearing difficulties and
a CHAIR LIFT for those needing assistance
